SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  • The user MUST have Administrator privileges to install the software.
  • Supported Systems: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, Windows 11.
  • Read the Software Installation section of the User's Manual before attempting to install.
  • Install the easywamp1.1.exe package first and then the msdrInstall.jar package second.
  • You must have a Java JDK installed on your computer in order to install the msdrInstall.jar package.

SOFTWARE INSTALLATION

This is a fully functional demo version of the software with a built-in "riders simulator". You need to install these files with a user that has full Administrator Privileges.

USING Java JDK

First check to see if your computer has Java JDK installed. Simple open the Command Prompt window and type "java -version" to see if your computer already has the file installed. If your computer does not have  Java JDK installed, then download the jdk-21_windows-x64_bin.exe file by clicking on the download link at the bottom of this page and install it.

INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS

  • Double click to install the Java JRE.
  • Download the easywamp1.1.exe file and double-click to install the database and web server software.
  • Download the msdrInstall.jar file.
    Note:
    This file must have the .jar extension or it will not install.
    The msdrInstall.jar file may try to download to your computer as msdrInstall.zip. If this happens just manually replace msdrInstall.zip with msdrInstall.jar in the Save As dialog window's File Name: field. You can also navigate to the save directory and manually change the extension from .zip to .jar.
  • Double-click to install the MotoSponder application software. During the installation of the MOTOSPONDER software be sure to check the box that will create shortcut icons on your desktop — one to start the app, one to access the database, and one to open a web browser.
  • Note:  During MotoSponder install if you encounter any access or install errors this indicates the user does not have full administrator privileges so do the following.
  • Open a Command Prompt window using the "Run as Administrator" option. You MUST use that option.
  • Navigate to the folder where the msdrInstall.jar is located. (Example: "cd \users\username\Downloads")
  • Execute command "java -jar msdrInstall.jar"
  • This will start the install program and you will not get any access nor install errors.

CREATE THE DATA BASE

The first thing you will need to do after starting the MOTSPONDER application is to create the database.

  • DB Admin --> Create Database

CREATE THE EVENT

  • Event --> Create Event
  • Set the Absolute Min Lap Time (mm:ss) to 00:30

LOAD THE EVENT

  • Event --> Load Event

Now you can enter racers into the system. The minimum information for each racer is the First and Last Name, Transponder ID (auto assigned if left blank), and the Racer's Number, Make, and Class. The racer simulator outputs lap times every 2 minutes. The Demo version of the software has a built-in simulator that simulates racers passing the RFID reader/antenna at the finish line every 2 minutes. When you Start Capture all the racers you have entered in a Race Group will be started with 1-second interval between each. The simulated racers will continue to complete laps every 2 minutes until you click Stop Capture. The lap times for each racer on the Live Capture window will update every 2 minutes until Stop Capture is clicked.

Although this demo will give you a feel for the race management software capabilities, the real strength of the MOTOSPONDER system is our hi-performance, state-of-the-art reader, exclusive high-grade antenna, and the superior transponder tags we use.

MOTOSPONDER exclusively uses the latest RFID technology to ensure the system has the best detection capability. The antennas and tags are THE MOST important aspect of an RFID system and MotoSponder uses the best tag (most sensitive) and antenna on the market today.
